What data we collect

Your email address and the diagnostic file you send. That file carries information about your hardware (processor, graphics card, memory, motherboard, drives), your Windows version, the power plan and the list of programs set to start with the system.

One part of that list deserves to be spelled out: for every startup program the full path of the file is collected. Since those paths almost always run through C:\Users\<your account>\..., the diagnostic ends up revealing your Windows user account name — which on many PCs is the person's own name — and the software you have installed. None of that is sought on purpose: it is the price of knowing what starts with the system. The script stops before sending and tells you where the file is: you can open diagnostico.txt at that point — it is all there, in plain text — and delete any line you would rather not send.

If you leave a review, we also keep the name you choose to display, the text and the rating.

Cookies
The site stores two. sessao keeps you signed in for 30 days and carries your email inside it, signed by us; it is created only when you open the access link we email you — sending a diagnostic does not sign you in. idioma stores the language you picked in the switcher, for one year. That is all: there are no advertising or traffic-measurement cookies, and none of them belongs to another company.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your files, documents, passwords, browsing history or the content of anything you keep on disk. The collector also does not read serial numbers (not from the BIOS, the drives or the memory), nor the MAC address, nor the computer name — you can check that command by command, because the script is public and written to be read.

The site has no field for address, phone number, tax number or card details either: the price and the payment are agreed by email, and payment details never pass through here.

What it is used for

To generate your report and to contact you about your order. We also keep two things that are not obvious: a log of the actions on your account (sign-ins, diagnostics sent, changes to the order status), which serves security and lets us work out what happened when something goes wrong; and a delivery log of the emails we send you — whether they were accepted, bounced or marked as spam — so we know whether the report actually arrived.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. But the site does not run in a vacuum: the server, the database and the files all sit on Amazon Web Services, which processes them on our behalf and on our instructions, on servers in the Stockholm region, inside the European Union. The emails we send you go out through a separate service, Resend (Resend, Inc., United States), which delivers them on our behalf and on our instructions: your address, the subject and the body of the message pass through it, and it is that same company that tells us afterwards whether the message was delivered, bounced or marked as spam — that is where the delivery log described above comes from. There is no open-tracking pixel and no rewritten links: we do not ask for, and do not receive, whether you opened the message or what you clicked. ⚠ On their side a log of the sends remains — with your address and the content of the message — for that service's retention period, and that copy is not removed by your deletion request, just like the Discord channel messages: it is the same limitation the "Deleting your data" section describes for anything outside our own database. The connection to the site goes first through the same Amazon's delivery network (CloudFront), which has points of presence in several countries — the file you upload comes in that way too; stored, it stays in Stockholm only. Mail you send to our contact address is received by Amazon, kept for up to 30 days in the files of that same account, and forwarded to the owner's mailbox on Gmail — which means Google also handles the messages you write to us.

There is also an internal alert that leaves the European Union, and it is worth saying exactly what it is. When you request the full report, and when a payment is confirmed, the site sends a short message to a private channel of ours on Discord (Discord Inc., United States) — that is how we know there is work to do. That message carries only the order reference (the HFPS-… code): not your email, not your hardware, not the score, not the file. The reference is generated at random and says nothing about you to whoever reads it — but we are the ones who can link it to your account, so we will not tell you it is anonymous. Finding out who you are still requires signing in to our own panel, which is session-protected. ⚠ Unlike the rest, these messages stay in the channel history and are not removed by a deletion request — it is the limitation that the "Deleting your data" section describes for copies outside our database.

We also count how many times each page is viewed, so we know what people are looking for and whether it is worth writing more guides. No cookies and no tracking: we do not store your IP address, your browser, or any identifier that would tell you apart from anybody else. Each visit leaves three things added to a daily counter — which page was viewed, in which language, and the name of the site you came from (for example google.com, never the full address nor what you typed into the search). That is why this site does not ask you to accept cookies: there are none to accept. ⚠ The honest consequence is that we count visits, not people: open three pages and that counts as three.

And there is one disclosure that is public by definition: if you leave a review and it is approved, the name you chose, the text, the rating and your PC hardware — which we add ourselves, from your diagnostic — become visible on the home page, to everyone.

What emails we send you

We do not send you marketing. Apart from the access link — which goes out when somebody types an address into the sign-in form, and which exists precisely to prove the address is yours — every message requires an account and an authenticated action. These are all of them:

· Access link — when somebody types an email in the client area. It is what signs you in: it lasts 30 minutes and works only once.
· Diagnostic ready — when your script uploads the file. It carries the summary and the address of the report.
· Full report ready — when the report you ordered becomes available.

If you write to us, the reply is written by hand, by a person, from the service mailbox — it does not leave the site and it is not one of these automatic messages.

There is also an internal alert for each new diagnostic, which goes to our own mailbox and never to yours.

And that is all. There is no newsletter, no campaigns, no mailing lists and nothing to subscribe to — which is why you will not find an "unsubscribe" link either: there is no subscription to cancel. We have never bought or rented addresses from anyone, and yours is not handed to third parties for them to write to you.

We also do not know whether you opened the message or clicked the links: there is no tracking image and no rewritten links in the emails we send. On the sending side we keep, per address, whether the message was delivered, bounced or marked as spam, when that happened and the technical reason the receiving server gave — that is what tells us whether the report actually arrived.

If you get a message from us that you did not ask for, write to geral@honestfps.com: we create no account until somebody opens the link, and we delete whatever exists. Every email carries that address in the footer, along with the links to the terms and to this policy.

How long we keep it

Each thing has its own period:

· The diagnostic file you send is deleted 90 days after we receive it.
· The analysis and the report generated from it stay for as long as your account exists — that is what lets you open the report again later.
· The order record (reference, amount and dates) stays for 10 years, as a tax obligation. This one remains even if you ask for your data to be deleted.
· The account action log stays for 1 year.
· The email delivery history stays for 1 year.

On top of that, the database has recovery copies holding the state of the last 35 days. Anything deleted still exists in those copies until that period runs out.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data through geral@honestfps.com. There is no button for it on the site: you write to us and the request is carried out by hand. We reply within 30 days.

Deletion removes your account, your email address, the diagnostics and reports attached to it and the original file you sent, and takes your review off the site if you left one. What stays out of it is the order record — reference, amount and dates — which we have to keep for 10 years as a tax obligation; that one remains without your email and without anything that identifies you. As above, the database recovery copies only stop holding the deleted data 35 days later.
